The inspiration behind “Paradise” comes from a personal experience. I have never been to the Caribbean and was planning on going this year. I would look at vacations and all-inclusive sites and envision myself there with all the beautiful people, food and drinks. I would think to myself, “This is paradise.” I wanted to present that vibe to the world for those who are in the same position.

A few days after recording the song, I bought a vacation trip to the Caribbean with some friends. Shortly after, Covid-19 became global and the trip had to be cancelled. We had planned to release the track next year but decided that now would be a good time for some happy music. I really enjoyed making this project because I wanted to push myself to explore this new genre of happy/upbeat music.

While working on the album art, we wanted to present something that would be simple and create a happy mood. It took us more time trying to finalize the album art than it took recording the EP. The recording process was an unusual one. We would record in a car or drive to a storage unit that we rented and record inside of it because of the pandemic situation.
